This week, the doves Pedro, Shakira, Cecilia, Juan, and Kombucha made their very first visit to the children’s museum in Sheboygan: Above and Beyond!

Families discovered the magical characteristics that make birds so unique and special. Together, we learned about the different parts of a bird, acted like birds, explored new vocabulary, and used all five of our senses to better understand the life of a bird.

There is something truly magical about imagining what it feels like to be a bird, and when that experience is combined with the wonder and imagination of children, everything becomes even more real and meaningful.

Our doves will soon visit a new place and continue surprising us, reminding us that observation is one of the most powerful and magical ways to learn about the world around us.
